Definitions For the Super-Uninitiated

Anime = Japanese animation

Cel = a sheet of clear acetate, on which a single frame of animation is drawn and colored in. Cels are laid one by one over a background as the animation is filmed.

In-Betweener = someone who draws frames of animation, filling in the motion between a lead artist's "keyframes."

Low-Poly = 3D computer graphics using primitive models, designed to conserve memory and processor power. Used in video games.

Manga = Japanese comics
